Casted Luminaire

I completed this project over the Spring of 2022 for my “Experimental Ceramics” elective taught by Amy Adams at Parsons School of Design.

It took many different steps to create this table lamp, the process included creating a positive mold out of plaster which I then casted to create a two-part plaster mold. This two-part mold then allowed me to slip-cast the luminaire multiple times using white stoneware slip. After cleaning and smoothing out my casted shape, I bisque fired it, glazed it, and fired it once more before wiring the ceramic piece to turn it into a luminaire.
