LEXI
Lexi is a mobile app designed for adults living with aphasia, a language disorder that affects communication but not intelligence. Rather than asking users to navigate complex symbol boards, Lexi listens to the conversation partner and surfaces a small set of contextual, ready-to-say responses in real time, bringing communication closer to 75 words per minute from an average of 10 with existing tools. Developed through close collaboration with people living with aphasia and speech and language therapists, the interface is calm, discreet, and designed to feel human rather than clinical. Lexi is an active startup currently in development, selected for WE Innovate 2026 and Hult Prize UK Nationals 2026. Built with Henry Drayton and Yiannis Papadakis.
