Modular Needlework Chair
This project was my thesis for Parsons School of Design, completed in the Spring of 2024. Inspired by HAY, the renowned Danish furniture brand, I envisioned the Needlework Chair as part of the company’s product line, aligning with their ethos of creating accessible, functional, and beautiful designs that adapt to modern lifestyles. The chair addresses the often-overlooked ergonomic and organizational challenges faced by needlework enthusiasts, transforming the craft experience into one of comfort, efficiency, and beauty.
Through this project, I explored how design can address niche problems in ways that feel universally meaningful. By integrating thoughtful ergonomics, intuitive storage, and aesthetic appeal, the Needlework Chair transforms the art of crafting into a joyful, seamless, and pain-free experience—one stitch at a time.
