caterpillar bench
An upholstered entryway bench drawn from the segmented form of a caterpillar. The slip seat slumps over a Baltic plywood base, kept unstained to let the structure breathe alongside the textured, busy fabric of the upholstery. The unupholstered surface at the top is designed for the practical pause of coming home, a place to set down keys, a bag, whatever needs to be put down first. Shown at Conditions of Support at the MIT Wiesner Student Art Gallery, 2026.
